Collierville, Tennessee is a beautiful town located 25 miles east in the Meemphis metropolitan area with a population of over 50,000. The town is named after Jessie R. Collier who advertised 150 acres of land for sale in the Memphis Enquirer under the tagline “The Town of Collier for Sale” in 1836. A Post Office moved to “The Town of Collier” where it is believed to have morphed into the name Collierville.
